Grand-View BBBK Dreamer EX-94-4E selected as 2016 Cow of the Year

Dreamer and her offspring have proven their excellence year after year in the showring and in the barn. As a heifer, Dreamer was named Honorable Mention All-American Fall Yearling. At three years old, she won the Futurity award at World Dairy Expo. More recently, she was nominated All-American Aged Cow. Classifiers have consistently noted Dreamer's superiority in the breed, scoring her as Excellent four times. In 2015, Dreamer achieved the maximum score of 94.

In addition to the merit Dreamer has shown in her own right, she has produced daughters that are building an incredible legacy. Dreamer has 14 classified daughters to date, 3 EX, 10 VG, and one GP-84. Two of those daughters are at the maximum score for their age. Two of Dreamer's daughters, Diamond and Dea, followed in their mother's footsteps as Futurity winners at World Dairy Expo.

Diamond has also been recognized as Honorable Mention All-American Spring Yearling and Reserve All-American Junior 3 Year Old. Honorable Mention Intermediate Champion at World Dairy Expo is another award for Diamond. This Dreamer daughter made history by becoming the first cow in the breed to be 9th generation Excellent.

Dea is another all-star daughter of Dreamer. Dea was Honorable Mention All-American as a Spring Yearling. As a Junior 2 Year Old, Dea was Reserve All-American. She was Grand Champion at Wisconsin State Show, 1st place at World Dairy Expo, and went on to become All-American as a Junior 3 Year Old.

Another Dreamer daughter, Dells, has excelled in the showring. Dells was Reserve Grand Champion at Ohio Spring Show, and achieved the Greand Champion honors at both the Wisconsin State Show and the Maryland State Fair. At the 2015 World Dairy Expo, she was the 2nd place Senior 2 Year Old.

Diamond, Dea, and Dells represent the showring dominance that is typical for Dreamer and her family. Certainly, it can be expected that many more Dreamer daughters will be stars in the showring. Internationally, Ayrshire breeders have recognized the value of Dreamer genetics and have purchased embryos out of Dreamer and her daughters for export. Dreamer's daughters are the highest PTA and Genomic Type in the breed. Her daughters are also some of the highest CPI list cows and highest production record cows.

Showring, classification, and All-American honors for Dreamer and her daughters show that Dreamer embodies the best of the Ayrshire breed. She is a cow that Wisconsin diaryment can be proud to have representing the state as Cow of teh Year.
